Diamondhead, Miss. July 22, 2020 – Effective immediately, the Diamondhead City Hall will return to restricted access in order to keep our residents and our staff safe at this time.
Yesterday, the Hancock Board of Supervisors started requiring masks to enter public buildings and are restricting access to certain buildings, when needed.
Visitors will use the protected area by the court department to conduct business through their customer service window. If someone needs to enter city hall, a mask will be required. We will distribute masks in this area if the visitor does not have a mask. We are also encouraging our frequent visitors to the building department to use the phone and email to conduct business when possible to reduce exposure. Court department payments can be made online or over the phone.
As community leaders, we must lead by example to do everything we can to protect each other from spreading this virus. We continue to encourage residents to wear a mask when in public places.
