New City Council Takes Oath of Office

At 8am on Thursday, July 1, 2021, the mayor and city council for the City of Diamondhead took their oath of office.  Judge Hayes Johnson administered the oaths and many residents and community leaders attended the celebration.  Senator Philip Moran, Representative Jay McKnight, Mr. Saywer Walters with Congressman Steven Palazzo's office, Kodie Koenenn Supervisor for District 3, Diamondhead Police Captain AJ Gambino and many city employees were also in attendance.

The new city council includes:  Mayor Nancy Depreo; Shane Finley (Council member ward 1); Alan Moran (Council member ward 2); Ricky Shephard (Council member ward 3); Chuck Clark (Council member ward 4); and Gerard Maher (Council member at large).
