New Garbage Collection in Diamondhead
The Hancock Solid Waste Authority has awarded a new garbage collection contract to Coastal Environmental Service, and this service will begin on May 1, 2022.
Today, CES will begin distributing new trash cans to the residents. Residents are asked to not use these cans until May 1st when the new contract begins.
Garbage collection routes will continue for Diamondhead residents as they have in the past; thus, pick up dates will remain the same.
The new contract will add grapple truck service twice a month in Diamondhead. This service will pick up shrubbery and other bulky waste in the city.
Residents will have an opportunity to contact CES to lease another can for $12 per year. This will be paid directly to CES by the resident.
