Bulky Waste/Debris Pick-up
The City of Diamondhead has a contract with Coastal Environmental Services (formerly Waste Management) for “Bulky Waste and Debris pick-up”. Please contact Coastal Environmental if you are in need of bulky waste or debris pickup at 228-299-0537 or visit Coastal Environment Svs., click on Customer Care and enter a pickup request.
Hancock County residents providing proof of -residence, are allowed to bring directly to the King Landfill 10 free cubic yards of approved waste per household per month. Residents are charged $5.00 per yard over 10 cubic yards.

ACCEPTABLE LANDFILL ITEMS:
- Construction and demolition debris, such as wood, metal, etc.
- Brick, mortar, concrete, stone and asphalt
- Cardboard boxes
- Natural vegetation, such as tree limbs, stumps and leaves
- Appliances which have had the motor removed, except refrigerators
- Furniture
- Plastic, glass, crockery and metal, except containers
- Sawdust, wood shavings and wood chips
PROHIBITED LANDFILL ITEMS:
- Any waste listed above contaminated by a possible pollutant, such as food or chemical
- Household garbage
- Food or drink wastes or liquids from said container
- Industrial waste, unless specifically approved by the Office of Pollution Control (OPCI)
- Liquids
- Sludge
- Contaminated solids
- Paint or paint buckets
- Oil containers and chemical containers
- Any metal, glass, place or paper container, unless specifically approved by the OPCI
- Paper wastes, unless specifically approved by the OPCI
- Engines or motors
- Refrigerators
- Whole tires
- Cut or shredded tires, unless specifically approve by the OPCI
- Batteries
- Toxic hazardous waste
- Asbestos or asbestos containing material
- Medical waste
- Televisions, computer and microwaves (no electronics)
- Other waste which may have an adverse effect on the environment:
- Burned material and ash are not acceptable
