Diamondhead Starts the New Year Off with a New City Manager

The City of Diamondhead rang in the New Year with the hiring of a new City Manager, Michael J. Reso.

Reso, a resident of Diamondhead for more than 11 years, has worked for the last seven as a financial advisor helping clients protect their family and businesses from unexpected risk by developing plans to achieve financial goals.  Previously, he worked for St. Stanislaus College for 12 years as director of finance and advancement and as an assistant prefect.  Reso also worked for Camp Stanislaus for 18 years as a counselor, camp director and president of the board.

A graduate of Loyola University, he holds a bachelors in business administration with a degree in finance and a minor in accounting.  He also serves as chairman of the Finance and Stewardship Committee and is an elder for Diamondhead Community Church.

Working with the Mayor and Council, Reso will focus on a number of priorities set forth by the City such as public safety, beautification, removing blighted properties and slabs, and economic development initiatives.

“I love the safety, beauty and amenities that Diamondhead has to offer, and I will work closely with our mayor and council to advance our young city.  It is an honor to serve the citizens where I live,” said Reso.

Reso is married to Melissa and they have two young children, Madison and Kaitlyn.
