City Council Holds Public Hearing for FY21 Budget
At the City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, there was a public hearing for the FY21 budget. City Manager, Michael Reso, discussed the budget presentation by explaining the revenues and expenditures for all departments and funds. The Council approved a reduction in property taxes by 34 mills to 29.5 mills for next year. This results in less revenue being collected, and property owners will pay less in ad valorem taxes. The new fiscal year begins on October 1.
