Registration Requirements

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER:

1.    Register annually. Registration is $25 and runs Oct. 1–Sept. 30.
2.    You need a driver’s license and proof of financial responsibility (Insurance).
3.    A City decal does NOT mean you can drive everywhere. Check the official map and obey posted signs.

The City of Diamondhead has updated its regulations for golf carts and low-speed vehicles (LSVs) operated on public streets.

The ordinance became effective Aug. 1, 2026, and the new annual registration period runs from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.

The information in the FAQ file is intended to help residents understand the new requirements. If there is any conflict between this FAQ and the City ordinance, the ordinance controls.
